BELLS HILL ALLOTMENT
ABOUT BELLS HILL ALLOTMENT
Bells Hill Allotment Society is a community gardening organisation located in Barnet, North London. Established in 1925. It was run and managed by Barnet council until 2013 when the Bells Hill Allotment Society (BHAS) was formed. As part of the BHAS formation a group 3 trustees were put in place. These trustees signed a 38 year lease with the London Borough of Barnet. At this time BHAS took on the responsibilities for the site management and administration. The has allowed the site to become more autonomous and self governing.
BHAS offers allotment plots for individuals and families to grow their own fruits, vegetables, and flowers.
With over 100 plots spread across a six-acre site, members can enjoy a peaceful and green environment, to connect with nature and engage in gardening activities. The society also hosts social events throughout the year, fostering a sense of community and promoting knowledge-sharing among members.
